I attended a retirement luncheon for Karen Lucas, my physician colleague, at the clinic I helped start in 1991, and retired from in 2005. Word came from Harvey Leuning, that his mother, Evelyn Sieps, 94, passed away peacefully in her sleep today, in Dell Rapids, South Dakota.

San Lucas party last night
Last night we had a group of 12 over for a pot luck dinner at 4924 for people who went to San Lucas either in 2007 or 2008.  We had a remarkable selection of food and good stories.  Dan made a slide show for the occasion with music featuring the children singing in the church.  Unfortunately, Harvey and Cheryl could not attend, and they were greatly missed.  I am so glad we had the...
